ABOUT
Bridge Jointing and Rehabilitation Contractors Pty Ltd was established in 1999 and has become a leader in the civil engineering industry throughout South and Southern Africa and Mauritius (in partnership with Palco Mauritius). We provide specialist service, advice and expertise in the bridge expansion joint, bridge and concrete rehabilitation, and protective coating fields.
Amajoints Pty Ltd was established in 2018 to support the intention and spirit of transformation. We are proud of its empowerment credentials through the empowerment of its staff. Amajoints Pty Ltd is a 52% black-owned SMME and a Level One contributor on the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment scorecard. It specializes in the bridge expansion, bridge and concrete rehabilitation, and protective coating fields.

SERVICES
BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINTS
We supply, install, repair and maintain the following expansion joint systems, which are available depending on anticipated movement and/or Engineer and Client preference. All our teams operate throughout South and Southern Africa and Mauritius.
THORMAJOINT
We are the licensed installer of the Thormajoint system, which is the original asphaltic plug bridge expansion joint. It is the only one with a proven track record of over 30 years in Southern Africa. It is by far the most installed expansion joint in South Africa with over a quarter of a million meters installed by our companies.
Our Thormajoint system has Agrement South Africa certification in line with the major South African road authority requirements, and a 10 year written guarantee is provided on all installed joints.
The Thormajoint system provides for movement and/or articulation in joints and is suitable for movements of up to 30 mm. Thormajoint is completely waterproof, flexible in all directions, easy to repair and has a high load-bearing capacity.

AGREMENT CERTIFIED INSTALLER - HONEL JOINTS
We are the approved installer of the Honel range of expansion joints including those which are Agrement approved. The details of these joints are as follows:

In line with Agrement requirements, a 15-year guarantee is standard on these expansion joints.

These expansion joints comprise of 100% South African content and are locally manufactured.

These expansion joints are fully galvanized to 140 microns minimum.

They have a proven track record throughout Southern Africa including extreme coastal conditions.
FINGER TYPE JOINTS
We are the approved installers of the Mageba Tensa Finger RSFD Bridge Expansion Joints and the only company in Southern Africa with a proven track record of installing these types of expansion joints.
The Tensa finger RSFD cantilever finger joint has proven itself for use in bridges with heavy traffic loading and for movements between 60 mm and 500 mm. The joints robust steel edge profiles have strong anchor loops for concreting to the main structure, resulting in excellent fatigue resistance. The benefits of these joints are as follows;

We bring to the market place a team of dedicated people with many years of experience and know-how in our fields.
Gunter Richter has had 25 years in the Civil Engineering industry, involved in contract negotiation, quoting, administration, finance and tendering.
Willie Mapaila has over 30 years in the expansion joint and bridge rehabilitation fields with extensive experience in site managing all over Southern Africa.
Jonathan Tait has over 35 years in the construction industry with many of these years in the expansion joint and rehabilitation fields.
All our site personnel, installation teams and our office teams are specialists in our field of operation with many years of experience. We can offer all our clients - Government, Provincial, Municipality, Main Contracts, and Private Developers - the implementation of their requirements in our field of expertise on time, within budget and to the required specifications providing them with complete peace of mind that they have made the right choice with us.
